The purpose of this Blended Learning class is to train instructor candidates to teach all levels of American Red Cross Learn to swim, Basic Water Rescue, Water Safety Today, General Water Safety, Home Pool Safety, Parent Orientation to Swim Lessons, Sun Safety, Rip Current Safety and Longfellow's WHALE Tales. In order to take this class, you must complete the on-line component at Redcross.org and successfully demonstrate Level 4 competency in the six strokes, Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, Elementary Backstroke and Sidestroke. Additional required skills include surface diving, treading water and turns. You must be 17 years old to take this course.
Course will meet at RDV Sportsplex for both pool and classroom components. Attendance is mandatory during the entire day for all three days below:

This is a Blended Learning class, so pre-registration is mandatory by 7 days before the first day of class.
All online components must be completed before the start of the class on the first day.
