Learn to Play Hockey classes occur on Sundays and are divided into 10-week sessions.
Learn to Skate: Beginner/Intermediate Hockey (ages 3+)- This class focuses on basic skating skills. Helmets are required (bicycle helmets are acceptable), but no sticks or pucks will be used. Hockey skates are recommended. Students in this class learn to skate forward, glide on one foot and stop. The skater may advance to the Learn to Play Hockey program after successfully completing the class requirements.
Learn to Play-Youth (ages 3-16)- Learn the basics of skating, stick handling, passing and shooting. Previous skating experience is a plus. Consider Learn to Skate: Beginner Hockey for those with little or no skating experience. Full gear is required for this class.
Learn to Play-Adult (ages 17+)- Adults will hone their skills with assistance from our hockey coaches. Skating, stick handling, passing, shooting and proper positioning are some of the skills learned in this class.
The current session is in progress and daily drop-ins are still being accepted at the Ice Den Service Desk. Call 407-916-2550 for details.
